Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are your office hours?

The office is open from 8am-5pm Monday to Friday. A member of the team will answer your query during this time.

  • How long does it take to remove a stairlift?

From when you accept our offer, we can normally book you in within the following two weeks, usually the same week.

The stairlift removal in most cases is quite straightforward and normally takes anywhere between 15 minutes and 40 minutes, depending on the type of the stairlift.

  • Will I be charged for removal?

In a lot of cases, we're able to offer a free removal. This is based on age of lift, location, and condition. In cases where the stairlift is in good condition, we can also offer you money!

  • Will you give me money for my stairlift?

Very often we can offer you money for your lift if it is reasonably new, is in great condition, and provided it's a model that we don't currently hold a lot of stock of. Your engineer will pay you when he has arrived and assessed your lift.

  • Will removing a stairlift damage my stairs?

In most cases, stairlift removal should not cause damage to your stairs or other areas of your property. Provided it was installed by a reputable company, at most you might be able to see a dip in the carpet where the feet of the stairlift once was. You can help restore the shag of your carpet by gently brushing the area using a hoghair or similar brush.

  • How do I know what model of stairlift I have?

Depending on what model of stairlift you have, there should be a sticker, a barcode, or a serial number located somewhere on the stairlift which contains information about it. There should a badge on the front or under the footplate which tells you the brand.

If for whatever reason you don't have these to hand, you can still give us a call or leave us a message with information on your stairlift such as whether or not its curved or straight, the style of the arms, the colour etc. We'll do our best to work it out with you.

  • Can I send you photos instead?

If you're unsure about the model of your stairlift or would like us to check out the condition, you are welcome to send us photos of your stairlift. Simply get in touch using the contact form on the page or give us a call, and we'll give you some ways to send us media.
